AUSA Nancy Creswell present by videoconference for govt. Statements by counsel, Kevin McCants, Esq. and dft re: pro hac vice admission of Atty. McCants. ORDERED: Atty. McCants shall associate himself with an atty who practices criminal law in this Court; the attorney shall file a motion for McCants' pro hac vice admission. Atty. Mann shall remain as defense counsel until pro hac vice motion is granted. If granted, Atty. Mann shall provide Atty. McCants with the criminal pretrial order and any discovery rec'd from the gov't. Dft requests continuance of jury draw and extension of motions-filing deadline. Dft recognizes any extension of time will be excluded from computation under the Speedy Trial Act. ORDERED: Case shall be removed from 9/9/2008 trial calendar; pretrial motions shall be filed by 10/20/2008. Case to be put on first trial calendar after 10/20/2008.
