Huge amounts of government spending and tax dollars go into defense spending and the subsequent military industrial complex. Cut defense spending, eliminate many over seas bases.

3		Cut the size of the military, remove overseas bases, lower funding for weapons research.
		The military-industrial complex dominates American politics and furthermore we spend far too much on military spending. Our defense budget is huge- Obama recently called for it to be raised to $738 billion, a number that eclipses any other country. We no longer need to fight Russia in the cold war- do we really need bases in Japan and Western Europe?
