Problem

Our defense budget is ridiculously inflated and still has the United States prepared to fight Russia in 1981.

Huge amounts of government spending and tax dollars go into defense spending and the subsequent military industrial complex. Cut defense spending, eliminate many over seas bases.

Solution Cut the size of the military, remove overseas bases, lower funding for weapons research.
The military-industrial complex dominates American politics and furthermore we spend far too much on military spending. Our defense budget is huge- Obama recently called for it to be raised to $738 billion, a number that eclipses any other country. We no longer need to fight Russia in the cold war- do we really need bases in Japan and Western Europe?
