The lowering of testing / grading standards and college acceptances (incentivised by increased attendance / funding) and systematic escort of children through the educational system has yielded an entire generation having believed they must spend thousands of dollars to go through a college where a degrees simply proves they are capable of making a grade in college. This does not reflect the quality of their knowledge (which is often generalized) while inflating the debt crisis... often preventing young adults from obtaining even basic vocational skills needed for skilled labor.
